During the war with Ravana, his son Indrajit shot Lakshmana with a powerful weapon. The attack was so strong that Lakshmana fell unconscious. Lord Rama and the entire army were filled with sorrow and anxiety. The royal physician, Sushena, examined Lakshmana and said that only one thing could save him—the Sanjeevani herb. This rare and magical plant grew far away on Mount Dronagiri also known as Gandhmadan Parvat in the Himalayas, and it had to be brought back before sunrise.
When Hanuman, the brave devotee of Lord Rama, heard this, he immediately offered to get the herb. With faith in his heart and great strength, he grew huge and leapt into the sky. As he flew, he crossed deep forests, wide rivers, and tall mountains. He moved faster than the wind, determined to save Lakshmana’s life.
Finally, Hanuman reached Mount Dronagiri. The mountain was full of glowing herbs that looked beautiful. But Hanuman could not tell which one was the Sanjeevani. He could not waste precious time. Thinking quickly, he lifted the entire mountain with his incredible strength and carried it on his shoulders.
Hanuman flew back to Lanka with the mountain and arrived just before sunrise. Sushena searched through the herbs and found the Sanjeevani. After applying it to Lakshmana’s wound, he came back to life.
Hanuman’s brave actions showed his courage, loyalty, and quick thinking. He didn’t give up even when the situation seemed impossible. This story teaches us that with devotion, faith and complete surrender to the Lord, no task is impossible.
