Do I have to pay to host a Home Program?

Just as water cleanses the body and mantra purifies the mind, selfless giving purifies our hard-earned means.

The "Spiritual Etiquette"

Guidelines for a Successful Satsang To ensure everyone gets the most out of this spiritual experience, here are a few suggestions:

  • The Atmosphere: Create a quiet, clean space for the Kirtan and discussion. Keeping pets or distractions in another room helps everyone focus on the Mantra.

  • Timeliness: Aim to start on time. This honors the volunteers' travel time and ensures the program concludes beautifully with Prasad.

  • Active Participation: We encourage everyone to join in the chanting and ask questions—Satsang is a journey we take together!

  • Digital Offerings: For those wishing to give, please use our digital links. It’s the simplest way to support the temple and ensures your tax receipt is sent instantly.

Guidelines for Sacred Prasadam

Prasadam is more than a meal; it is "mercy" in the form of sanctified food. To ensure the food is suitable for offering to the Lord, we follow the standards of Sattvik cooking.

Preparation Standards

To maintain the purity of the offering, please ensure the following:

  • Purely Vegetarian: Food should be free from meat, fish, eggs, onions, garlic, mushrooms.

  • Sanctified Utensils: Please use utensils that have never been used to cook non-vegetarian food or eggs.

  • A Meditative Kitchen: We encourage you to play Kirtan or Bhajans while cooking to keep your consciousness spiritually focused.

  • The First Taste: Please refrain from tasting the food while cooking. The first portion is always reserved for the Lord!

  • The Final Touch: Placing a Tulsi leaf on the offering plate is a traditional way to make the offering most pleasing to Krishna.
